Still going....

Just catching everyone up.  Spent last week in Atlanta, GA so it was not a good week as far as weight loss goes.  I think I gained like 7 pounds in one week, got home and took about 3 days to cancel out that 7 pounds.  So all in all, I'm even.  I might even be up a little in weight.  I wanna lose some weight over the next couple of weeks before we leave for Ruidoso.  It's gonna be a blast!!!  Still hitting the gym Mon, Tue, Thur, and Fri.  Love racquet ball.  Although, I think I have jacked my right shoulder up.  But o well!  More info to come.  PS - boys are about to turn 2 years old!  WOW!

Still going strong!

Still doing the whole work out thing.  It's going well.  The diet so well, but when you add working out to your regiment it's amazing, you don't add much weight!  I think that cardio is what I want to continue doing.  I hate weight lifting, hated in high school, I thought I might like it now.... but now still hate it!  I have enjoyed playing racquet ball and basketball a lot.  Been playing with Josh and Jon.  It's been a blast actually.  And now I think I'm going to start playing softball also.  Only bad news so far is my knee has been hurting, bad!  But I suppose that will be the case until I get all my strength back.  Well enough boring ya for now.

Cardio is going to kill me.

WOW!  I was impressed with how well Jon and Josh did today.  Man am I out of shape!  Now don't take this the wrong way, but I was never in shape to begin with.  We have less than 45 days till the big run.  I jogged/walked a little over 2 miles today in a half hour.  Not very good folks!  It will get better though.  Well that's it for now.

Well, let's try this again... Really dusting the Cob Webs off this sucker!

As you can see, I didn't really stick with the weight loss plan.  I am a changed man this time.  This time, it will happen and I will stick with it.  I will be looking from 3 main people for my strength...
  1. My heavenly Father - God
  2. Jon and Josh (In alphabetical order, both vitally important)
Luckily, this time having back up is going to help.  My good friend Josh has been very gracious to teach Jon and I how to workout.  Before I was only doing cardio, and not good cardio at that! This time Josh has given us the instruction on how to do it right and successfully.

GOALS!
The first big thing is we have a goal!  Our goal is to run a 5k in approximately 5 to 6 weeks.  We are going to run in a charity run for a local Wylie mom who is suffering from Stage 4 cancer.  To be honest I don't know many of the details, but this is our goal run.  It is taking place on July 9th.  So official countdown from today is..... 45 days from today!  This seems really close!  But hey, what are goals for right?

Another thing to remember.  I had knee surgery about 2 months ago and just got released from the doc on Monday to be able to start working on strengthening and jogging.  I haven't jogged yet!  So now here is a little about what our plan has been for this week...

Day 1 of workout (Monday) - Bench, Incline, Rowing, etc.
Day 2 of workout (Tuesday) - Back, Pullups, etc.
Day 3 of workout (Wednesday) - Legs
Day 4 of workout (Thursday) - Cardio
Day 5 of workout (Friday) - Cardio
Day 6 of workout (Saturday) - Cardio
Day 7 of workout (Sunday) - Rest

So this is the plan to get us to our goal.  It should be tough and fun.

I was looking back at the last time I weighed in and I weighed 213.8 in March of 2010.  I just weighed in Monday and guess what..... I weighed 213.8, I take this as a sign from God.  He is an amazing God and for those of you that don't know him, I pray you eventually answer the door and let him in.
"Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends." Revelation 3:20

This time my goal is not so much weight loss oriented but to be healthy and working out.  I think the weight will come naturally and might even be replaced my muscle.  I plan on doing some measurement possibly tonight so I can track that as well as weight loss.

Just a little about my weight loss so far starting back on April 4th.  I started off this time at 225.00 and I am down almost 12 pounds.  So here we go.  My weight as of Monday 213.8lbs.
